THE EFFICACY OF TRADITIONAL DYES: OSOGBO DYE AS A CASE STUDY

CHAPTER THREE
METHODOLOGY
Various methods adopted in carrying out this research are explained in this chapter. To source for information, this research depended on two major sources of information, which are:

1)      Primary sources
2)      Secondary sources
Primary Sources
The primary source was mainly participant observation.
Participant Observation
Participant observation was a method in collecting information for this research. The researcher personally traveled to Osogbo, to gather materials for this study. Such as dye stuffs, fabrics, wax and other related literature.

Secondary Sources
        The secondary sources include the:
a.       Journals
b.      Internet and
c.       Computer
Journals
        Some journals were consulted for relevant materials that would help bring out more facts about the subject matter. Journals used are the Osun  Across the water. Some books consulted are newspapers, catalogues and encyclopedia relevant to this research.
Internet
        The internet was utilized for current information on this research. These vital information were sourced for on line.
Computer
        The Computer was used in gathering and storing information in the research findings. Typing, editing and printing out the whole research work on paper was also made easy and neat with the use of the computer.
